- Open price equals the day low
- % change of zero or higher
- Volume of at least 10,000 shares
Results are sorted by today's % change, highest first. When the open is the low, the stock has not traded below its opening price all session, which intraday traders read as buyers in control.
Open = Low Stocks Today: common questions
Can a stock drop off this list during the day?
Yes. The first trade below the opening price creates a new day low, so open no longer equals low and the stock leaves the screen. The list is most meaningful later in the session.
How often does this list update?
During market hours (9:15 am to 3:30 pm IST) the list is refreshed every few minutes, so stocks join and leave it as prices move. Outside market hours it shows the result of the last trading session.
Why is there a market cap and volume floor?
Very small or thinly traded stocks can move several percent on a handful of trades. The floors keep the list to stocks where the move reflects real trading activity.
