1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tapetide (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Tapetide provides stock market data, financial analysis, screening tools, and related information for Indian listed companies on NSE and BSE. The Platform is intended for informational and educational purposes only.

Tapetide also provides an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at mcp.tapetide.com that enables AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible clients) to access Indian stock market data through standardized tool calls. The MCP server is part of the Platform and subject to these Terms.

3. Not Investment Advice

The information provided on Tapetide does not constitute investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other sort of advice. You should not treat any of the Platform's content as such.

  • Tapetide does not recommend that any security should be bought, sold, or held by you.
  • As a policy, we do not give stock tips or recommendations and have not authorised anyone to give these on our behalf.
  • We try to bring you information from sources we believe are trustworthy and accurate; however, data on our platform can be delayed and we do not take any responsibility for its correctness or completeness.
  • Please do your own due diligence and consult a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
  • Tapetide is not a SEBI-registered investment advisor, research analyst, or broker.

4. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, Tapetide makes no warranties or representations regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any data displayed on the Platform. Stock prices and financial data may be delayed or contain errors. We source data from third-party providers we believe to be reliable, but we cannot verify every data point and disclaim all liability for inaccuracies.

The information on this platform is sourced from providers we believe to be trustworthy and accurate; however, data may be delayed or contain errors, and we do not guarantee its correctness or completeness. Tapetide does not recommend buying, selling, or holding any security. Please do your own due diligence and consult a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions. By using this platform, you agree that Tapetide is not responsible for any losses arising from your use of the information provided.

5. User Accounts

Some features require authentication via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

For MCP server access, authentication is handled via Google OAuth 2.1. When you connect through an AI assistant, you authorize Tapetide to identify you by your Google email address. You may revoke MCP access at any time from your account settings.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Platform outside of the provided MCP server and API
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
  • Redistribute or commercially exploit the Platform's data without permission
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits on the MCP server or API
  • Share, publish, or redistribute your API tokens or MCP refresh tokens
  • Use the MCP server to build a competing data service or resell the data

7. MCP Server & API Terms

The following additional terms apply to use of the Tapetide MCP server and API:

  • Rate limits: The MCP server enforces per-user rate limits. Remote MCP (OAuth): 100 requests/hour, 1,000 requests/day. Remote + Token and Local MCP: 1,000 requests/hour, 4,000 requests/day. Exceeding these limits will result in temporary throttling.
  • Read-only access: All MCP tools are read-only. They retrieve publicly available Indian stock market data. No tool creates, modifies, or deletes any data on the Platform or any external system.
  • No guaranteed uptime: The MCP server is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime, availability, or response time. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.
  • Data accuracy: Data returned by MCP tools is sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors. The same disclaimers in Section 3 (Not Investment Advice) and Section 4 (Accuracy of Information) apply to all data returned via MCP tools.
  • Service changes: We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove MCP tools, change rate limits, or alter the API at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.
  • Termination: We may suspend or terminate your MCP access if you violate these Terms, abuse rate limits, or use the service in a manner that negatively impacts other users.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and software on Tapetide are the property of Tapetide and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

Tapetide shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to financial losses from investment decisions made based on information provided on the Platform.

10. Third-Party Links and Platforms

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. Tapetide is not responsible for the content or practices of any linked third-party sites.

When you use Tapetide through third-party AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.), your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service. Tapetide is not responsible for the behavior, availability, or data practices of third-party AI platforms.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
