Methodology

  • Both runs use formula v2.0.0 and reference ref_2026c. A month is only reported when the two runs share both, so a methodology change never shows up as a score move.
  • The comparison is between the month's last complete scoring run (4 Nov 2026) and the previous month's last complete run (30 Oct 2026). A run that covers materially fewer stocks than usual is skipped.
  • Counted stocks are the ranked universe of the leaderboard: eligible and scored with confidence of at least 75. 4,458 stocks were scored in the latest run.
  • Bands are fixed ranges: Strong 66 and above, Good 55 to 65, Average 45 to 54, Weak 37 to 44, Poor below 37. A 1 to 3 point move is within normal day-to-day variation.
  • Sector averages cover sectors with at least 5 ranked stocks. The change is the difference between the two runs’ sector averages, so it also reflects stocks entering or leaving the ranked set.

Frequently asked questions

How did Tapetide Scores change in November 2026?
The Tapetide Score ranked 4,428 NSE and BSE stocks as of 4 Nov 2026. Of the 4,423 stocks ranked at both ends of the month, 269 rose, 387 fell and 3,767 were unchanged; the average score fell by 0.02 points so far in November 2026. The Strong band (66 and above) holds 104 stocks, against 106 on 30 Oct 2026.
What do the monthly Tapetide Score reports cover?
One report per month on how Tapetide Scores changed across NSE and BSE stocks: how many were ranked, the band distribution, the largest score rises and falls, sector averages and moves into and out of the top band. Each month compares its last scoring run with the previous month's, on the same formula.
Is the Tapetide Score a buy or sell recommendation?
No. These reports describe how a model's output changed, not which stocks to buy or sell. The Tapetide Score is a model over public data: a deterministic summary of past and current fundamentals, valuation, ownership, momentum and governance. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation to buy or sell any security, and not a forecast. Tapetide is not a SEBI-registered research analyst or investment adviser.
