How Tapetide researches and fact-checks its platform comparisons, how corrections work, how we handle our own product, and how data on Tapetide is updated.
This page explains how we research the comparison articles under Compare, how we check them, how we handle the fact that Tapetide is one of the products compared, and how the data on Tapetide's own pages is kept current.
Who writes our comparisons
Comparison articles and the market reports are researched and written by Sanjay Mehta, Research lead at Tapetide, who is responsible for their accuracy. Each comparison shows its byline, its first publication date and the date it was last updated at the top of the page, and each report shows its byline and the date its data runs to.
How we research a comparison
- Primary sources only. Facts about a platform come from that platform's own pricing, help and terms pages, and from its listings on the app stores. We do not rely on third-party reviews or forum posts for prices, limits or policies.
- Every fact is dated. Each article states the date its facts were checked. Prices, plan limits, trials and refund terms change often, so a date is part of the fact.
- Prices are re-checked. When an article is updated, every price in it is checked again on the vendor's own page, and the updated date changes with it.
- Coupon prices are labelled. Where a lower price depends on a coupon or a limited offer, the article says so and gives the date we saw it. List prices are used for rankings.
- Gaps are stated, not guessed. If a vendor's own page does not state something, we write "not stated". If we could not find a feature on the page we checked, we write "not seen"; it may exist elsewhere on that site.
- Features as published. We count only features a vendor describes on its own pages, and we do not describe where another platform gets its data.
How we fact-check
Before an article is published, its claims go through a separate audit pass against the dated fact records gathered during research. Each claim is checked for being wrong, unsupported by a source, or unfair to the product it describes. Wrong claims are corrected, unsupported claims are removed, and disparaging wording is rewritten in neutral terms.
Corrections
If anything in an article is wrong or out of date, email support@tapetide.com with the page and the detail. We check the claim against the vendor's own page, correct the article if it is wrong, and update its date. Vendors are welcome to write to the same address about their own product.
Conflict of interest
Tapetide is one of the products compared in these articles, and we say so in each article that includes it. To keep that from tilting the result:
- Tapetide is held to the same sources and the same checks as every other product.
- Its limitations are stated as plainly as everyone else's, and it is not placed first by default.
- Where another platform is the better fit for a reader's needs, the article recommends that platform.
- Links to other platforms go to the platforms' own websites.
Not investment advice
Tapetide is not a SEBI-registered investment advisor. We do not provide investment advice, stock tips, or buy/sell recommendations. Our comparisons are about research tools, not about which securities to buy or sell. See the Terms of Use for full details.
How data on Tapetide is updated
Our data is aggregated from multiple licensed and public sources, then cleaned and structured by us. Fundamentals and prices are refreshed every trading day, and market activity such as FII/DII flows and delivery data updates during the session. Every dataset passes validation checks before it appears on Tapetide.
Financial data can be delayed or contain errors, so we recommend cross-referencing with official exchange websites for critical investment decisions. How the Tapetide Score is computed is published in full on the methodology page. More about the company is on the About page.
