Screener.in vs Tickertape vs Trendlyne vs StockEdge (October 2026)

Screener.in, Tickertape, Trendlyne and StockEdge compared feature by feature: prices, free plans, refunds, screeners, AI, apps and value for money.

By Updated 8 min read

For a long-term investor, Screener.in gives the most value for money because its free plan covers ten years of financials and custom screens. If you pay, Trendlyne GuruQ gives the most screener parameters and backtests per rupee, with its current coupon. Tickertape is the easiest app with forecasts, and StockEdge suits investors who scan on mobile.

We checked every price, limit and policy on each vendor's own pages on 24 October 2026. Tapetide is our product; it appears once below as a third option for AI questions and FII/DII data.

Which gives the most value for money in 2026?

We compared each entry paid plan using only list prices and coupons shown on the vendors' pages.

Entry plan Pay monthly for 12 months Pay yearly Yearly, per month What the money adds

Screener.in Premium No monthly plan ₹4,999 ₹417 800 stock alerts, 75 screen alerts, ₹500 of AI credits
  • Paying yearly saves a lot. On Tickertape, ₹2,999 a year is ₹1,789 less than twelve monthly payments.
  • Coupons do most of the work. StockEdge and Trendlyne's lowest prices depend on codes that vendors change often. StockEdge's SHUBH is a festive coupon; its list price is about ₹250 a month.
  • Screener.in Premium bundles AI credits. The ₹4,999 a year includes ₹500 of Screener AI credits, and it is the only one of the four that states GST is included.
  • Refunds change the risk. Screener.in refunds within 48 hours. The other three do not refund if you cancel mid-period.

For a long-term investor, the free Screener.in plan covers most needs. If you want analyst forecasts and backtests too, Trendlyne GuruQ costs the least per year for them, at ₹2,990 list or ₹1,890 with its coupon.

A third option: Tapetide

Tapetide fits if you want to ask questions instead of building filters. Its TapeAi assistant answers from a company's financials, shareholding and flows, free for 10 questions a day (50 a month). Its free FII/DII page shows daily flows, streaks and sector-wise FPI flows. Claude or ChatGPT can read NSE and BSE data through the Tapetide MCP server, free for 50 tool calls a day.

  • Paid: Starter ₹3,588 a year or ₹499 a month, with a 7-day trial at ₹0. Payments are non-refundable after that.
  • Limitations: no mobile app, no alerts, no backtesting; younger, with fewer reviews; TapeAi caps on every plan.

Switching between them

  1. Keep your free account on the old platform; all four have one.
  2. Rebuild your two most-used screens first; we found no way to import screens between them.
  3. On Tickertape, Trendlyne or StockEdge, cancel auto-renew before the renewal date, because none refunds mid-period.

Not investment advice. Tapetide is our product. Prices and limits were checked on 24 October 2026; email support@tapetide.com if something has changed.
