COMPARISON
Best website for FII and DII data: six sources compared (October 2026)
Where to get FII and DII data in India: NSE, NSDL, Moneycontrol, Trendlyne, Sensibull and Tapetide compared on cash, F&O, streaks, sector FPI and history.
The best website for FII and DII data depends on what you need: NSE for the official daily number, NSDL for final FPI data, and Tapetide for cash flows, streaks, F&O positioning and sector-wise FPI flows on one free page. Sensibull is the most focused on F&O participant positioning, and Trendlyne suits mutual fund flows next to FII flows.
We opened each page and checked it on 24 October 2026, recording what it shows for the 23 October 2026 session. Tapetide is our product. We list its limitations as plainly as the others'.

What does NSE show?
NSE's FII/DII report shows the day's provisional FII/FPI and DII cash-market activity across BSE, NSE and MSEI.
- What it shows: gross purchase, gross sale and net for FII/FPI and DII, one session at a time.
- Its own caveat: the data is "provisional and subject to change", and NSE points readers to NSDL or CDSL for final FPI data.
- F&O: participant-wise open interest and trading volumes are separate CSV files under derivatives reports.
- Pros: the primary source. Free.
- Cons: no streaks, charts or sector view; the daily report shows one session.
- Best for: checking a single day's official number.
What does NSDL show?
NSDL's FPI Monitor publishes foreign portfolio investment compiled from custodian reports.
- Daily trends: FPI gross purchases, gross sales and net investment by equity, debt, hybrid, mutual funds and AIFs, in ₹ crore and US$ million.
- Derivatives: daily FPI derivative trades with open interest at the end of the day.
- Sector-wise: fortnightly sector-wise FPI investment, with reports listed from 15 October 2026 back through 2024 and earlier.
- Yearly: a financial-year table from 1992-93, and monthly net investment by calendar year, selectable from 2002.
- Cons: FPI only, no DII data. Dense tables, no charts.
- Best for: final FPI numbers and debt-market flows.
What does Moneycontrol show?
Moneycontrol's FII & DII Trading Activity page has tabs for Summary, Cash, F&O, MF SEBI, FII SEBI, FPI Sectoral Activity and OI Participants.
