Common questions

Is Zerodha Kite MCP free?
Yes. Zerodha says connecting your account through Kite MCP has no additional charges. You need a Zerodha account, and normal brokerage and account charges apply.
Does Kite MCP have fundamentals or financial statements?
No. Kite MCP covers your account and Kite market data: quotes, last traded price, OHLC and historical candles. It has no financial statements, shareholding, filings, FII/DII flows or screener. Tapetide covers these for about 8,100 NSE and BSE companies.
Can Kite MCP place orders?
Zerodha describes hosted Kite MCP as read-only, with GTT orders as the exception. The hosted tool list also includes place, modify and cancel order tools. Check Zerodha’s current documentation before relying on either. Tapetide is read-only and never places orders.
Can I use Kite MCP and Tapetide MCP together?
Yes, and that is the most useful setup. Add both to Claude or another MCP client. Your assistant reads your account from Kite and does the research with Tapetide.
