No official MCP server

Is there a Screener.in MCP server?

No. Screener.in does not offer an MCP server or a public API. Its /mcp and /api addresses return “page not found”, and its terms license the site for personal, non-commercial viewing only. Any “Screener MCP” you find is an unofficial community project, not a Screener.in product.

What exists

What the community projects are

Several open-source projects on GitHub and PyPI call themselves a Screener MCP. They are written by individual developers, not by Screener.in, and they work the same basic way: a program on your own computer reads Screener.in’s public web pages and hands the result to your AI assistant.

  • You install and run them yourself, usually with Python or Node.
  • Some features need your own Screener.in login, passed in as a browser session.
  • Because they read web pages rather than an API, a change to the site can break them without notice.
  • The site’s terms limit use to personal, non-commercial viewing, so check them before you rely on one, and do not use one for commercial work.

Instead

What to use with Claude or ChatGPT instead

Tapetide MCP is a hosted MCP server for Indian stocks. You add one URL to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client and sign in with Google. Nothing runs on your computer. It covers about 8,000 NSE and BSE companies with financial statements, shareholding, a fundamental and technical screener, FII/DII flows, options analytics, earnings-call digests and daily price history.

The free plan includes 50 tool calls a day with no monthly cap, and the same token works with the Tapetide REST API.

The website

Keep using the website

Screener.in is still a good place to read a company page or write a screen by hand. The difference is the AI side: an MCP server lets your assistant fetch the numbers itself, and Screener.in does not offer one.

Common questions

Does Screener.in have an MCP server?
No. Screener.in does not publish an MCP server, and its /mcp address returns “page not found”. Projects named “Screener MCP” are unofficial and run by individual developers.
Does Screener.in have an API?
No public API. Its /api address returns “page not found”, and its terms license the site for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. You can export company data to Excel from the website.
Can I connect Screener.in to Claude?
Not with an official connector. Community projects can read the site from your computer, but they are unofficial and subject to its personal-use terms. To give Claude Indian stock data through a hosted MCP server, add Tapetide MCP as a custom connector and sign in with Google.
Is there a free MCP server for Indian stocks?
Tapetide MCP has a free plan of 50 tool calls a day. NSE also runs a free MCP for NSE prices and index data. See the full comparison of Indian stock market MCP servers for what each covers.
