Which stocks mutual funds bought and sold in July 2026 portfolios: by value and scheme count, cap split, new entries and exits. Not investment advice.

Portfolios as of 31 Jul 2026, compared with 30 Jun 2026. Mutual funds disclose month-end portfolios within about ten days of month end, so this is the July 2026 disclosure, not today's trading.

In the July 2026 portfolios (as of 31 Jul 2026), mutual funds added the most, by value, to Torrent Pharmaceuticals (₹7,232 Cr, 192 schemes added), Adani Enterprises (₹7,095 Cr, 144 schemes added) and Indo-MIM (₹3,618 Cr, a new holding for 98 schemes). The largest net reductions were in L&T, Infosys and Reliance. Across the 1,285 stocks the 1,046 compared schemes held at either month end, holdings rose in 560, fell in 607 and were unchanged in 118, against June 2026.

Shares added were worth ₹94,275 Cr and shares cut ₹56,316 Cr at the 31 Jul 2026 close, a net +₹37,959 Cr. Values cover the 1,266 of 1,285 stocks with a closing price that day.

23 stocks were held by none of the compared schemes at the end of June 2026 and by at least one at the end of July 2026; 6 went the other way. New listings and IPO allotments show up as new entries.

Methodology:

- Disclosure month: July 2026. Each fund's portfolio is its holding on 31 Jul 2026, published by the fund within about ten days of month end. It is compared with the 30 Jun 2026 portfolio. Data for this month was complete on our side by 27 Oct 2026.
- Schemes compared: 1,046 of the 1,057 equity-holding schemes that disclosed this month; the other 11 had no June 2026 portfolio on record to compare with, so they are left out rather than counted as buying everything. 39 arbitrage schemes are excluded because their stock positions are hedged with futures and roll every month. One plan per scheme is counted.
- Holdings are summed across the compared schemes for each stock. A stock is counted as bought when that total rose, sold when it fell and unchanged when it did not move. Listed shares, REITs and InvITs are included; ETF and fund units are not.
- Value change is the net change in shares times the closing price on 31 Jul 2026, so a price move alone never counts as buying or selling.
- Splits and bonuses between the two month ends are taken out of the share counts, so a split never reads as buying. When the funds' share counts do not match the filed ratio, the stock is left out (none this month).
- Schemes adding counts schemes that raised their share count, including new positions; schemes cutting counts those that lowered it, including full exits.
